ADVISORY TO PARENTS

1.      Communication:
The school maintains an open line of communication with parents. All parents must ensure that their current mobile numbers and email IDs are registered with the school administration. Any change in contact details must be communicated immediately.

2.      Medical Information:
Parents must inform the school authorities if their ward is under any medical treatment or allergic to any medicine. No medicines will be handed over to cadets without written permission from the school medical officer.

3.      Parent Visits for Discipline Cases:
Parents are required to visit the school whenever summoned, especially in matters relating to discipline, academics, or health.

4.      Parent–Teacher Interaction:
Parents may meet class teachers/housemasters only during scheduled PTMs (Parent–Teacher Meetings). In exceptional cases, prior permission may be sought for visits on other days. Unscheduled or surprise visits to the school campus are strictly prohibited.

5.      Prohibition of Outside Food:
No food items from outside are allowed inside the school premises. Parents must refrain from sending or giving any such items to cadets.

6.      Vacation Utilization:
Parents should ensure that their wards utilize the vacation period constructively — completing homework, revising subjects, and maintaining physical fitness.

7.      Timely Return after Vacations:
Cadets must report back to school on the scheduled reopening date and time. Late reporters will be penalized as per school rules.

8.      Fee Payment:
All fees must be remitted before the due date. Fee defaulters will be dealt with as per Sainik Schools Society Rules & Regulations, 1997.

9.      Electronic Gadgets:
Use or possession of mobile phones, smart watches, or electronic gadgets is strictly prohibited inside the campus. Any such item found will be confiscated and disciplinary action will follow.

10.  Communication with Cadets:
Parents can communicate with their wards only on the scheduled communication day (every Saturday evening). Under no circumstances should parents contact housemasters, wardens, or staff for unscheduled conversations. In case of genuine emergencies, the school will facilitate communication.

11.  Cash Handling:
Parents should not give cash directly to cadets. The school will not be responsible for any loss of such money.

12.  Outpass Policy:
Parents may meet their wards and avail Outpass on every third Sunday of the month (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). Wards must be returned to school the same day. The school reserves the right to cancel outpasses during school events, disciplinary issues, or emergencies. Night outpasses are not permitted.

13.  Leave Policy:
Leave will be sanctioned only for emergencies. No leave will be granted for personal, religious, or social events. Cadets weak in academics or failing in mandatory physical tests will not be granted leave.

14.  Grounds for Emergency Leave:
(a) Medical Leave – As certified by the School Medical Officer.
(b) Death of a Close Family Member.
(c) Marriage of Real Brother or Sister Only.

15.  Birthdays:
Parents are not permitted to visit the school for their ward’s birthday celebrations.

16.  Communication Protocol:
All communications should be made through the official school email. Parents are strictly advised not to call or message teachers or support staff directly.

17.  Interference in Administration:
Parents should refrain from interfering in school administration. Any concern must be routed through the official parent representative or class teacher.

18.  Compliance:
Parents must keep a copy of this advisory and adhere to it strictly to ensure discipline and order within the institution.

19.  Hostel Access:
Parents are strictly prohibited from entering the hostel or cadet areas on any day, including Parents’ Day.

20.  Monitoring Progress:
Parents must regularly monitor their ward’s academic, physical, and extracurricular progress.

21.  Scholastic Performance:
Cadets must secure at least 33% marks in each subject for promotion. For retaining scholarships, 45% in each subject and 55% in aggregate are mandatory.

22.  Promotion Requirements:
Cadets must pass in Art Education (Drawing and Painting) to be promoted to the next higher class.

23.  Optional Subjects:
The allotment of optional subjects will be at the sole discretion of the school administration, depending on resources and aptitude.
